Astrid Zielke is a transaction lawyer. She has specialized in M&A transactions, joint ventures and private equity for over 20 years, with a particular focus on the renewable energy (wind energy, photovoltaic and hydroelectric power) and real estate sectors. Astrid Zielke advises on and leads projects and investments in Germany, Europe and North America (US/Canada).
Her clients include domestic and international businesses, financial services institutions as well as institutional and private investors – from both Germany and abroad.
Astrid Zielke provides comprehensive legal support from the pre-transaction to financing, signing and closing, and post-transaction integration and monitoring. The core areas of her advisory services include conducting the review and assessment of project and contract documents (due diligence), drafting transaction agreements (purchase and sale, construction contracts, general contractor agreements, cooperation, outsourcing, service and financing agreements) and particularly the active participation in contractual negotiations (joint ventures, share deals, asset deals, financing, etc.).

In addition to her qualifications as an attorney, Astrid Zielke has gained extensive experience in her industry sector. She served as CEO of a large Hamburg based real estate company (developer and asset manager) and on the board of a large international project developer in the sector of renewable energies. At present, Astrid Zielke is a member of the supervisory board of Kontora Kapitalverwaltung GmbH, Hamburg. She is a member of BUSE’s Corporate Law and M&A practice group and leader of the Renewable Energies practice group.
